Is HowGood's data third party verified?
HowGood's product carbon footprinting methodology has received landmark certification by the Carbon Trust, a leading global footprinting expert. Calculations used in corporate GHG accounting and Product Carbon Footprints are aligned to GHG Protocol and are ISO 14067 compliant. All sustainability metrics beyond carbon are aligned to leading methodologies and databases, including UNGP Human Rights Watch, Water Footprint Network, Bioversity International, and others. HowGood's database draws from more than 600 vetted, high-quality sources.
How many emission factors does HowGood's database have?
HowGood's database houses 90,000 agricultural emission factors— it is the largest database for food product sustainability in the world. Our emission factors do not rely on global averages or proxies; they offer granular, crop- and location-based insights into thousands of ingredients used worldwide.
Does HowGood support customers globally?
Yes. HowGood works with six of the ten largest global food companies, including suppliers, brands, retailers, and food service companies representing every stage of the food value chain. The Latis platform supports reporting for US-based regulations such as the SEC Climate Disclosure and CA Climate Laws, EU-based regulations such as CSRD, TNFD, and the EU Deforestation Law, and global voluntary frameworks including SBTi, CDP and GRI.
